RISE PLUS EUSD

We are excited to introduce the rise plus program serving eastside union school district students during the winter, spring, and summer breaks.

The RISE Plus program is free and provides academic support, enrichment and fitness opportunities for students.

When

RISE Plus will operate during the following breaks in 2022:

Winter Break 2022: January 3-7
Spring Break 2022: March 21-25
Summer 2022: June 15-July 1 (Students exiting grades 6-7). July 11-29 (Students entering grades K-6 in 2022-2023 school year)

Programs hours are open 8:00a-5:00p. Students can be dropped off between 7:45 - 8:00a and picked up between 4:45-5:00p.

RISE PLUS operates at all five Eastside Union School District Schools: Cole Middle School, Columbia Elementary, Eastside Elementary, Enterprise Elementary, and Tierra Bonita Elementary.


Register

THE RISE PLUS PROGRAM IN EUSD ARE NOW FULL AND REGISTRATION FOR THE 2021-2022 SCHOOL YEAR AND SUMMER 2022 IS CLOSED.

Children must be EUSD students and may only attend the program at the site where they are registered for school.

Once we receive your registration form the RISE Program Manager, Elizabeth Martinez, will contact you by email to let you if your registration has been accepted and when your child/dchildren are able to start. Each program has a limited capacity.


FAQs

Question: What safety measures will be in place for students and staff
Answer: Students and staff must be free of sickness to attend. Students will be in small groups of no more than 20 students and will practice social distancing and hand washing throughout the program. Students and staff will have their temperatures taken entering the program. Any student or staff member with a temperature over 100.4 will be sent home. Facilities will be cleaned and sanitized per Los Angeles County Department of Public Health recommendations.

Question: What happens if someone is sick at the program
Answer: If a student or staff member shows any sign of illness they will be isolated. Parents/Guardians of a student who is ill will be called immediately to pick up and parents of all students will be notified.

Question: What meals and snacks will be served?
Answer: Breakfast and lunch are provided by EUSD Child Nutrition. Meals and snacks will be similar to the items served during school.
