RISE HALL OF FAME

We are extremely proud of our former RISE employees who have gone on to exceptional careers in their chosen professions.  The alumni pictured here are a fraction of the incredible staff members that we have been fortunate to have at RISE, and we are happy to have been part of their professional journey.

The purpose of this Hall of Fame is to salute their achievements, and to serve as inspiration for our current employees who might find themselves at a professional or educational crossroads.

To the RISE Alumni featured below- thank you for your years of dedication and service to our mission statement. We are certain that you’ve carried some of the core values of our organization to your current one, and hope that you value your time at RISE as much as we appreciate you having been part of it.

  • RISE 2016-2021

    RISE History-

I am currently a fifth grade teacher at Jack Northrop Elementary in the Lancaster school District. I am in the credential program at CSU Bakersfield, and will be earning my Multi Subject credential in May 2025.

  • RISE 2020-2021

    RISE History-

After working with RISE, I graduated from USC with my Masters of Arts in Teaching and earned teaching credentials in: Secondary English, English Language Development for English Learners, and Special Education. I love teaching and I'm extremely grateful that RISE gave me the opportunity to work in education while pursuing my degree and credentials.

  • RISE

    RISE History-

RISE allowed me to gain priceless experience working with students. I learned classroom management, planning skills, and leadership skills. RISE was my stepping stone to becoming the educator I am today.

  • I am now a proud 7th grade teacher at the school site where I was once a site coordinator. RISE has been an opportunity where I was able to make connections and establish myself as someone who is passionate for education. It has been a stepping stone in my life that has directed me to where I am now. Teaching 7th grade has been no easy feat, but with the skills and mindset I developed from RISE, I lead my classroom strongly. It is a chapter in my life I will not forget nor will I forget the people I befriended and was fortunate to work alongside with. Thank you RISE and see you around! :)

  • RISE 2010 - 2012

    RISE History-

RISE was one of my early stepping stones into the educational world. I remember my time at RISE as some of the most fun moments in my education career and helped ignite my passion for teaching. RISE provides an essential community service that reminds us that learning can and should be fun and that no matter the situation, you can always Fight On! I still live that philosophy every day in my role as a Principal at Options for Youth. I am forever grateful for my time at RISE.

  • RISE 2016-2021

    RISE History-

2016 was a big year for me. I was looking for something meaningful and for a fresh start. I started working for RISE as a program instructor. Luckily, I was around kind and supportive people. That's the first sign of being at the right place and of a healthy work environment. As a new instructor and later on, as a new site coordinator, I always had a guiding voice or a helping hand that allowed me to grow as a teacher and as a person. It became clear to me that I want to work with children. I became committed to furthering my education and enrolled in the credentials program. I worked very hard to reach where I am today, and thankfully, my efforts were invested in the right place. I am a 4th grade teacher. I am still learning, but I still use what I learned from RISE. I am very grateful for everyone who helped me throughout this journey.

  • RISE

    RISE History-

RISE was definitely a big part in not only helping me realize my passion for working with children but also making it possible for me to have hands-on experience working in the classroom. I still use methods that were taught to me through RISE training in my classroom right now! When applying for teaching positions after college, the principals that would interview me for teaching positions would love the fact that even though I was a first-year teacher, I had experience in the classroom already working not only with children but also with parents. Teaching has its difficulties, but I love it so much and RISE was definitely a part of me getting to achieve my goal of becoming a teacher.

  • RISE 2019-2023

    RISE History -

Working for the RISE After School Program from 2019 to 2023 helped lay a strong foundation in my teaching career. I worked for RISE while I was completing my teaching credential at CSUN. I've gained valuable skills in classroom management and communication while using positive reinforcement to help students thrive. I am now a 1st grade teacher and I can thank RISE for helping me with my success!

  • RISE

    RISE History-

After working for RISE for 3 years, I have moved on to work in the mental health field as a school-based case manager. Working at RISE allowed me to pursue my goal of finishing school and gaining my bachelor's degree which led me to this career path. I am only getting started and I have a long way to go, but I am very grateful for my time working at RISE as it has ultimately led me to my passion of wanting to help children and families in any way. I gained so much experience and learned so many things during my time here at RISE as a Program Instructor and especially as an Assistant Site Coordinator that I now take with me in this new role as a case manager…”

  • RISE 2012-2019

    RISE History -

Worked with RISE as a Program Instructor and after finishing her credential, became a teacher in Keppel USD, where she continued to work with RISE in the Academic Pre-teach/Re-Teach program, and as soccer coach at Lake LA.
